The drive back from Mechuka
Driving through the valley — past tribal villages, landslide zones, mountains closing in on either side — I felt completely removed from anything familiar. Hidden deep inside that valley, cut off from the outside world, it felt like another reality entirely. The light was extraordinary — sunset rays pushing deep into the narrowing valley, hitting the mountain walls in a way I hadn't seen before.
